Facilities and Maintenance Manager
Oak Tree Schools provide academically rich environments that promote social and emotional development for children. We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Facilities and Maintenance Manager. The ideal candidate maintains the cleanliness, aesthetic and repair of our preschool. Included in this is addressing minor maintenance issues and ensuring the safety and functionality of our facilities. When maintenance issues exceed the skill set of the Facilities Manager, she or he will coordinate quick and cost efficient means to address repairs and needs.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and sanitary environment for children and staff.
- Inspect facilities regularly to identify any maintenance or repair needs.
- Address minor maintenance issues such as plumbing leaks, electrical problems, and furniture repairs.
- Assist with landscaping and yard work as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Determine needs, identify costs and communicate needs independently and in collaboration with school director
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a maintenance worker or similar role.
- Knowledge of basic maintenance procedures and techniques.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills.
